Burned out. Exhausted. Drained. Empty.
These are words that we hear all the time. The sad thing is, these are the words a lot of people use to describe how they feel about their daily life as they pursue the life they are told will make them happy and fulfilled.
Can we think about that for just a minute…?
Why do we believe that we have to be miserable while we are pursuing happiness?
Why do we believe that it’s a requirement to feel unbearably fragmented on our pursuit for wholeness?
Why do we believe that, in a way, we have to sacrifice our soul in order to live a life of meaning and wholeness?
Good questions, right? – These are the kinds of the questions I want to wrestle with together because I believe that when we sort through them, and we are honest with ourselves, we can find a better way.
We can find a way of life that is more aligned with who we were created to be. A way of life that is soulful, authentic, and meaningful. A way of life that brings us to life.
If you’re tired of being oversold and underdelivered on the latest trend-setting tricks for living the good life, maybe it’s time to get back to basics. A simpler but more sincere way of living.
I’m not saying it’s easy, that’s for sure. I’m just saying that maybe…just maybe… there actually is a way for us to build a life we love without sacrificing our soul…
